What is it about fantasy?

What is it about fantasy worlds that appeal to so many people? I myself am no exception. Most HSP's have a rich inner world so it might not come as a surprise that so many of us like it. Some even make it a way of life. Last thursday I attended the medieval wedding of friends of mine at dragonheart. These people have been able to turn a hobby into a way of life. What started as a hobby in a garage is now their work and they get to 'play' every day of their lives. That it is really following your passion and your dreams and showing the world what is possible if you really want it. The website is in dutch but do have a look at the images. The wedding itself: All their friends and family came in medieval dress supporting in their choice of wedding. It was very beautifull to see. So believe in your dreams and follow them!

  1. For me, my fantasy life is where I find comfort, and solace form the trying day-to-day of being me.

And it's Star Trek I enjoy. I look at the life one could lead if Star Trek were a reality and it fascinates me. Traveling among the stars... visiting alien planets... meeting so many different people and experiencing so many different cultures.

I aw those pictures of the Medieval Wedding. And I doubt I'll ever be to a wedding unless it is as a guest... but were I to ever have one... it would be a Star Trek wedding.

And the guy (or gal) officiating would have to wear a captain's rank !
